Showing my age, but Sept 14 1978 they opened for Black Sabbath @ Cobo Hall in Detroit. It was my first concert. The band played and Eddie took a long solo, just as the power went out to the PA. The consummate showman, Eddie played air guitar for all of us for about 3 mins. No sound. On his knees leaning back guitar in the air, and the sound comes on in the most ripping solo we ever heard. Not a flinch and the band joined in. The place was up for grabs, and everybody forgot about the band that followed.

Well, if that wasn't a love letter to yours truly, I don't know what is.
I like that he tucked his pick in between the his joints on his middle finger while shredding.
